I have a lot of military followers and spouses over there so. I asked you guys over there and I was like. What are some things. That you wish. You knew or if you're not military. What are some assumptions. That you may have for military stuff oh. If you're not in the military or know. Nothing about being a military spouse so. This is me a little different it's not just my point of view it's a lot of ladies point of view and I'm really thankful. That some of my friends participated in this so I'm gonna dupe into. This and I hope. You guys enjoy. It a common question is do. You get paid extra for being married in the military and yes. You get bah which is basic housing allowance and your husband or spouse get I'm just gonna say husband. Because I have a husband of a different gender like you're the wife and your husband is the sauce or your the selfs husband watching this this means the same thing I'm just going to say husband.
Because that's my situation but so my husband. He gets like a extra pay for food allowance like. Once a year I'm sure I'm not really sure. It works honestly. I don't really know but and also. Another disclaimer real quick I've only been in for five years so there's tons of the stuff. That I haven't learned or known or anything like. That so don't come bite my head off for that. Either this is just my experience a lot of ladies experiences. That I am friends with so just a disclaimer for that one I'm sorry. I just had to put. That out there. Because I haven't been in for a long time and I don't know a ton of stuff but this is what I do know and I want to share. It with you guys so yes. When you're married in the military. You get more money that's why some people get married it's a contract marriage is what it's called that's why some people get married. They don't even care like they're just like. I don't know.
Some guy actually commented on my last video and said. That him and his buddies found out. That you could marry the same gender and so. They got married as friends and so. They could get bah and get out of the barracks so cool for you it's just a little strange. They are your friend but I mean people do. It they want extra money and a lot that's like. Another way for you to get out of the barracks and barracks is like housing for single soldiers who girlfriends get to live on the base no girlfriends do not get to live on the base. You have to be married and that's another reason why people get married quickly. Because no girlfriends. I live on the base you're not gonna have a house with a girlfriend well maybe. If you're ranked a lot higher. You can because. When you're ranked a certain rank. You can just have a house.
